As a minimum legal requirement all water tanks must be able to store
water safely and must comply with current water regulations.
ASC offer a number of cost effective improvement or refurbishment
options to return unsatisfactory water tanks to satisfactory standards.
Our highly competent team of engineers are equipped to undertake the
following:
- Pipework arrangements improved
- Insulation improved
- Overflow and breather pipes fitted
- Insect traps fitted
- Custom made tank lids
In the unlikely event that a tank is unsuitable for relining or
improvement we are able to offer a replacement service with a fully
compliant new water regulations installation.
New tanks will be sized
to meet with the guidelines contained in BS6700 to minimise stagnation
without compromising supply capacity.

Insect screens should be fitted to all overflows to prevent the ingress of contaminants.ASC manufacture a range of insect screens to fit most applications
Lids should be rigid, close fitting and securely fixed to exclude light, insects and other contaminants from the cistern. ASC can provide custom made lids of any size to fit exisiting tank installations. Lids can also be manufactured as sectional parts to fit poor access openings
Lids are required to have breathers fitted to provide good airflow preventing condensation and reducing bacteria within the tank
Temperature Monitoring Equipment
Temperature
checks should be carried out at sentinel taps monthly to ensure that
the correct temperatures are being achieved / correct operation of hot
and cold water systems.
